ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1

I've attached a test which fails with the error "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1". It runs 10 threads which create and persist objects. The objects are based on application objects so its not a single class test I'm afraid but it is standalone. I'm running as follows: java -classpath objectdb.jar;test.jar PersistTest I've attached the test jar, a jar containing the source and the odjectdb.conf. ... a page leaving older versions for use by newer users. The result is catastrophic, since a new transaction may commit mixed old and ...

ClassCastException: cannot be cast to com.objectdb.spi.TrackableUserType

Hello, I have a class TherapeauticDrugScreenRqst with two other nested subclasses - all using Groovy. My first attempt to persist TherapeauticDrugScreenRqst to Objectdb 2.2.8 is successfully. However, although my method to store the method is shown below: ... pool). The ClassCastException might be the result of partial enhancement. Try rebuilding the project and ...

Internal Exception and Index Problems

Dear Support Team, we have an urgent issue in a productive database. The objectdb doctor finds no error but one string field of one database item is not editable (even not using the objectdb explorer). The corrupt entry is in entity "UserModelData" with id="7d29d5eb-69a6-4d46-9bf1-802cbb6e439b". Try to change the userName attribute of this entry then the following error occurs: ... corrupted database. Some queries just don't give any result if they access a not synchronized field (e.g. querying a UserModelData ...

Mysterious "Attempt to persist a reference to a non managed instance" error

I've been working with ObjectDB for the past several months, and it's behaved pretty much as expected. I made a few modifications to a working set of classes today, and it's started throwing exceptions at commit time. I've stripped it down to a  set of files that seem to be of trivial complexity, but it's still failing. It involves two entities, Index and Ostrich. The thing to note is that the Index structure is recursive through maps; but that's never caused any problem for me in the past. ... because it causes some other problems. If as a result of this the problems happens again - please report. ...

Upgrade to Java 8 won't run

I've been using ObjectDB with Groovy 2.1 and Java 7 for nearly a year.  Today, I updated everything to the latest revs (Groovy 2.3.6, Java 1.8.0_25, and ObjectDB 2.5.7_05), and now my application fails when opening the database. It's dying on one of these lines:   emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory (dbName)   em = emf.createEntityManager()   em.setFlushMode(FlushModeType.AUTO)   ObjectDB.em = em   ... this type in the database is unexpected and may be the result of a non standard operation. Maybe you can provide more information on ...

Unable to convert 1.x odb file to 2.x

Hi, my company is just about to switch from ObjectDB 1.04.2487 (SE) to ObjectDB 2. So I downloaded the objectdb-2.5.5_02, activated it with our licence, enhancing went well, but then on converting 1 of the DB files I got this error: ... My ODB files got converted completely. Although in the result appeared some broken references but only in one particular class. ...

Mapped (Inverse) LAZY @OneToMany vs. Unmapped LAZY @OneToMany

In the code example below (also attached) I would like to understand why I am able to print to console a lazy @OneToMany mapped field after a finding entity manager closes. There is a switch DO_VIEW_BEFORE_CLOSE, and when it is true the fields are accessed and output before the finding entity manager closes and as expected both a mapped @OneToMany list and an unmapped @OneToMany list are viewable: a.listA_mapped:[{A}[4]"ownedElement1", {A}[5]"ownedElement2"] a.listB_unmapped:[{B}[2]"b1", {B}[3]"b2"] ... Thanks for your explanation. I was able to confirm the result with enhancer on. I am curious to know (it's purely an academic ...
