How to Use a SF with extended Persistence Context?

Hey, I have a problem to use SF with an Extended Persistence Context Regarding to Transactions. The need for an extended persistence Context emerges for the need to create queries in advance for fast execution so I need to store the queries and I need an EntityManager that doesn't get closed between calls. When I call the SF directly no problem happens but if I use SL to hold a reference to the SF I get com.objectdb.o._PersistenceException: Attempt to begin a new transaction when a transaction is active. ... of the GuestDao. I use Jboss AS 7 and when I run the project I get this stack: 13:52:01,121 INFO  ... at org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Worker.run(JIoEndpoint.java:930) [jbossweb-7.0.13.Final.jar:] at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:722) [rt.jar:1.7.0_21] 13:52:32,386 WARN  ...

IDs of Entities suddenly became UUIDs?

Hi, We're having our system with ObjectDB 2.4.5 in production since this year April and it works just fine. However, now we've discovered that suddenly partial Objects in some DBs in production do have a UUID String as their id instead of Long which is of course causing a lot of troubles. Note that this even occurrs on the same "Table" -- some saved Entitities of same type do still have a Long ID, others a String UUID. Our Base-Entity everything inherits from is declared as usual with Long: #1 2013-10-17 11:42 Hi, We're having our system with ObjectDB 2.4.5 in production since this year April and it works just ...

A bidirectional OneToOne association with a shared primary key

Use temporary files to enable very large transactions

We have transactions in which many objects are created. These objects are no longer needed in the current transaction after creation. Unfortunately, we will receive an OutOfMemory exception because the objects are kept in the first level cache of ObjectDB. In the forum thread http://www.objectdb.com/database/forum/921 on post #4 you wrote, that ObjectDB should support very large transactions in further version. Can you implement it that ObjectDB used temporary files? ... a fault we can still recover a consistent state.  We run the commit, if the Application consumes a percentage threshold of memory. ... InternalError on query of empty database

Hi, I have reasons for sometimes trying to query the database before anything has been created. The problem is the database throws a InternalException when that happens. Is it possible to throw something that identifies that that is the issue, say something like "MissingSchemaException", ie something that clearly shows its because no data of that type has been added? This just makes the exception catching cleaner. Thought thinking about it, it probably needs to be a JPA exception, maybe something like javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException? ... org.junit.internal.runners.model.ReflectiveCallable.run(ReflectiveCallable.java:15) at ... org.junit.runners.ParentRunner$3.run(ParentRunner.java:193) at ... org.junit.runners.ParentRunner.run(ParentRunner.java:236) at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.junit4.runner.JUnit4TestReference.run(JUnit4TestReference.java:50) at ...
