Unexpected Query Token / Casting in Query

JSON serialization and __odbHidden members

Hi.. Building a REST API (Jersey-based one) I noticed that object object I serialize to JSON has a clone field with "__odbHidden" suffix, e.g.there's  "id" and "id__odbHidden" is also (unwantenly) present with the same value. In general, we can annotate fields to include/exclude them from JSON serialization, but since these fields are not declared in my classes, I have no idea how to tell marshaller to avoid them. ... I guess. Must add that I am using the Glassfish server 4. I didn't somehow configure JAX-RS implementation thus using ...

On ensuring ID available after persist

This reports on a possible solution to a common problem: I was trialling ObjectDB on an existing, functioning, large JavaEE/JPA web application, which until now had used EclipseLink+MySQL and then Oracle+MySQL. On trying it out on ObjectDB I hit a problem with my very extensive entity wiring code, which relies on an "external" entity object having a non-null id after it has been passed to EntityManager.persist, thus: ... Allocating IDs requires a round trip to the server. By postponing ID allocation to commit or flush - multiple IDs ...

Great product - needs better marketing - more popularity

Hi, ObjectDB! While you have a very nice product, which I recommend everywhere I go, it is quite difficult to explain to my customers what is it and why we should use it, and things like that, because it's quite unknown.  It's a great product, therefore I'm building the 3rd product based on ObjectDB since the beginning of this year, but I think it would be much better if your db was more popular. ... yet and comparing to popular RDBMS (such as Oracle, SQL Server, My SQL, etc) object databases in general are much less popular and ...

ObjectDB without javax.persistence

Hello, what we need to do, that we can use a separate bundle for javax.persistence in a OSGi envoirement. We tried to use the objectdb-jee.jar instead of objectdb.jar. And a separate bundle for javax.persistence that only contains the Java Persistence API. So that the ObjectDB PersistenceProvider get visible for the JavaPersistenceAPI, we have registered the ObjectDB as Buddy. #1 2015-03-26 07:30 Hello, what we need to do, that we can use a separate bundle for javax.persistence in a OSGi envoirement. ...
