Empty temporary dat files in the temp folder

Hello, We have questions regarding the pagesX.dat files in the temp directory. We detected a problem on a machine with ‘only’ 2GB free memory on disc drive C:/ because during using our Product the %temp%/objectdb_123... folder growth up to 2GB. And then we run into some following errors due to lack of memory. ... A new temporary file of this type is created every time an ObjectDB database file is created or opened, if ...

mapping file is not being loaded

Hi, I am evaluating ObjectDB by using it with an in-house developed library in order to prototype its capabilities / performance. I am having a problem in that the in-house library in question reads a simple configuration file to determine available persistence units, and then bootstraps them using the JPA Persistance.createEntityManagerFactory() method and passing in the persistence unit name (again, obtained from the configuration file ). ... produces the following output: [ Type F444$A ] So the metadata is available even though the ...

Performance problem

Hi, we have a strange performance problem with ObjectDB 2.5.3_01 and JBoss 7.1.1. We have two ObjectDB databases on one ObjectDB server. Production database is running 5-10 times slower than test database. Their size and number of records are almost identical. When running production database in separate test environment its speed is very good. We did a performance analysis on our 2 linux servers one running JBOSS and other running ObjectDB. - CPU utilization of JBOSS server is max 5-10% (per core)... class (5-10) that store info about Organization, Employee type, permissions (we use Appache Shiro and permission data are stored in ...

how explorer queries work

i'm curious as to how the explorer is able to execute queries when its obviously not aware of the object model that i built. the reason is because i have an application where i want to be able to execute somewhat generalized queries and i won't know what classes are in the object model ahead of time. this is especially curious to me in client-server mode since the .jar with the object model classes is on the server side, not the client side where explorer is running. #1 2012-05-02 16:09 i'm curious as to how the explorer is able to execute queries when its obviously not aware of the object mode ...

Eager load Map

I'm having an issue eager loading a nested map. I've attached @ManyToMany(fetch=FetchType.EAGER) attributes to no avail. If the map is viewed in the debugger or force iterated in the code it loads ok. The attached code attempts to replicate the scenario. Its not an exact match but is the best I could come up with without replicating the whole system. The test creates an object, persists it to a db and re-loads it. The EntityManager is closed before accesing any fields. Finally the nested map is accessed and printed to screen. ... Type:  Bug ... should be posted as attachments .
