Strange Error with Criteria API and Sorting

We're creating a simple selection (distinct) including an order clause. When watching the created criteria in debugger we get the correct expression: SELECT DISTINCT $1 FROM MyEntity $1 WHERE ((TYPE($1)=class test.MyEntity)) ORDER BY UPPER($1.name) DESC You can see that in the order by there's correctly a "$1" var. Running this (without the type thing before) in the explorer correctly returns the sorted results. However, running this with the criteria API produces this error: ... Server connection management

The server does not appear to release broken connections. My typical development pattern is to keep reloading my war file in tomcat until the permgen space runs out, and then I kill and restart tomcat. After a few days of this, the server stops responding, and I see the following in the server logs: ... To post a reply and/or subscribe to update notifications - please login . ...

JDO sequences from ORM file

I want to use sequences in JDO without using annotations. Normally this is done with a package-X.orm file, where X is a value passed to the PersistenceManagerFactory as the value of property "mapping". I'm encouraged to see that the JDO zip that comes with ObjectDB includes the DTD/XSD for this type of file, though I can't see a mention of it in the manual. ... query.getResultList() throws ClassCastException

I modified the example code to include an index on the Point class like so:     @Index(members={"x","y"}) Then when I run the following query:     TypedQuery<Point> query = em.createQuery("SELECT p FROM Point p where p.x <= :x and p.y >= :y",         Point.class); I get the exception at the end.  I do not get an exception if I: ... significant performance decrease

we are using objected in embedded mode (on OS X and WINDOWS). The database increased now to around 400000 entities of one class (database file size around 1.5 GByte). The response time of standard queries increased with this database size to an unacceptable rate (several seconds compared to around 30% when the number of entities was just half of the current). We tried to optimize the cache settings, current objectdb.conf is: <!-- ObjectDB Configuration --> <objectdb> ... To post a reply and/or subscribe to update notifications - please login . ...

JSON serialization and __odbHidden members

Hi.. Building a REST API (Jersey-based one) I noticed that object object I serialize to JSON has a clone field with "__odbHidden" suffix, e.g.there's  "id" and "id__odbHidden" is also (unwantenly) present with the same value. In general, we can annotate fields to include/exclude them from JSON serialization, but since these fields are not declared in my classes, I have no idea how to tell marshaller to avoid them. ...
