Glassfish 4 JTA Data Source Support

I would like to have the persistence.xml of my server application (REST service) use a JTA data source, so that I can configure the data source from the app server (Glassfish 4 in my case).  My application already uses a number of JDBC data sources for Oracle etc., that are configured in that way, but I'm not sure how to achieve it with ObjectDB.... unit name, or using the "javax.persistence.jdbc.url" property in a real persistence unit. Note that JTA is supported ...

For example (first class): @Entity public static class Store { @OneToMany(targetEntity = Offer.class, mappedBy = "store") private List<Offer> offers; } second class: ... class is not perfect, but in my application Offer contains URL of product that I can parse for price. But this is not important here :) ...

However, I wish that I could use a file extension other than odb.  Since this functionality is already non-standard, why not allow it?  Perhaps any string beginning with "file://" could be treated this way. ... version 2.2.9 you can use other extensions, as long as the url starts with objectdb: For example: ...
