Is 2 level cache in use?

Hi, Is there any way to check, if 2 level cache is in use? Right now I've done two things: 1. objectdb.conf with cache size is placed in WEB-INF directory of my web application. 2. persistence.xml was modified with: ... same amount of CPU and memory. I'm calling the same url in benchmark, so most of the data should be in cache. ODB and Tomcat are on ...

objectdb.home for client/server

Currently, we do need to manually setup the objectdb.home property eventhough we're working on client/server mode. However, without setting this in our client, he complains about the missing objectdb.conf. Why is this required? Can't the server deliver it? Most of the time we do not even know where our object db home is located at as we might have multiple server instances running on multiple machines so all we do really need to supply should be the server connection url and no objectdb.home..   Alex ... do really need to supply should be the server connection url and no objectdb.home..   Alex ...

Glassfish 4 JTA Data Source Support

I would like to have the persistence.xml of my server application (REST service) use a JTA data source, so that I can configure the data source from the app server (Glassfish 4 in my case).  My application already uses a number of JDBC data sources for Oracle etc., that are configured in that way, but I'm not sure how to achieve it with ObjectDB.... unit name, or using the "javax.persistence.jdbc.url" property in a real persistence unit. Note that JTA is supported ...

Deadlock problems solved - a suggestion

Thanks to the new logging capability, I have managed to solve all the deadlock problems, as they were a result of Objectdb encountering new classes in multi-threaded code.  I have a suggestion that might be useful for other users - how about an Ant task that, given a database URL, performs the necessary schema changes (including creating the database if necessary), so that a database is already set up with the complete schema before an application runs?... other users - how about an Ant task that, given a database URL, performs the necessary schema changes (including creating the database if ...

Is there an update on running ObjectDB purely in-memory?

Hi, I know that this has been asked, but the last time seems to be two years ago, so I'd like to know whether there is a change or an outlook regarding the topic: Is it possible, or planned, to run ObjectDB purely in-memory, without a any file on disk? Note that "file on RAM disk", which was proposed in the past, is not an option for the application I have in mind. It would need to be true in-memory mode, as supported by SQL databases like H2 or SQLite. Thanks, David ... </database > Any database url or path with one of these specified suffixes will be handled as a memory ...
