Database Replication and Clustering

Replication enables maintaining up to date version of an ObjectDB database on multiple nodes. ObjectDB supports master-slave replication (cluster). When replication (or clustering) is used, the same database is managed on multiple machines (nodes), possibly in different geographic locations. This could help in achieving high availability, ...

coonection pooling

Hi, is it possible to implement a mechanism in object db which redirects a particular user to its database. For example we have an ObjecDB server with 100 databases. On our Jboss server we have a single deployed application with 100 users. Depending on the logged user it will connect to different database when quering the ObjectDB. can we use persistence.xml to define this connection routing or, according to this scheme http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/persistence/overview , EntityManagerFactory would be responsible for this operation. ... server we have a single deployed application with 100 users. ClassCastException of same object type

I have ObjectDB partially working with my project. At the moment it seems to be saving objects and retrieving objects ok in the main project. However, when I make a plugin for the project, the new objects are persisted but not retrieved. I get the following error: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount cannot be cast to org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount ... previous data to still be read from csv files but allow users to store in an ObjectDB for newer data. Add Type level permissions to ObjectDB Server

It would be useful if instead of creating a web service layer on top of a database, I could just set up permissions to entities and entity variables for client connections. This would be beneficial when providing specific raw data where additional business logic is not required. I suppose you could create transient entities for data that does require additional business logic though. ... regarding this feature request (also from other ObjectDB users) may help. persistence.xml classes not respected by ObjectDB

Hi! I have the following persistence.xml. The problem is that ObjectDB loads all the classes in P1 (+ their embeddable classes). P2 is created properly, but P1 gets all entity classes (from P2 also). How can this be avoided, so that both P1 and P2 get just the classes that were specified to each? There is no place in code where P1 tries to access classes from P2, so it makes no sense. #1 2013-08-20 07:48 Hi! I have the following persistence.xml.
