user defined backup target

Dear objectdb Team 1. I could not find a way, to declare the name of the backup-file (while running the database).  The only way I found is to create the folder in which objectdb will copy the database - file:   #1 2013-11-11 17:37 Dear objectdb Team 1. Embedded Database Replication

As we all know, embedded databases out perform server databases on every occasion. The problem with embedded databases is that theyre difficult to scale. If I were to create an entire enterprise web application within a single jar file using embedded tomcat and embedded objectdb I would run into problems trying to cluster the data. Is there a way to cluster embedded objectdb? Perhaps some kind of external replicator application that can be used by server administrators to ensure replication is optimal and healthy? #1 2015-02-10 18:34 As we all know, embedded databases out perform server databases on every occasion. java.sql.Time field off by 30 minutes

Entity Update - Is the documentation up to date?

I'm working on my first ObjectDB project, and I just went back and reviewed some of the documentation.  Turns out I've been doing two things that http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/persistence/update suggests should not work. First, I've been modifying managed entities from outside an active transaction.  If I subsequently begin and commit a transaction, all my changes seem to be merged automatically. ... is always expected to be up to date with the last ObjectDB version. > First, I've been modifying managed entities from ...

Need help to analyse very high memory usage by objectdb (PRU, SEV, VAL[])

Hello, we have a useCase in which we consume too much memory and run into a "GC overhead limit exceeded" exception. Nearly 90% of the memory are taken by com.objectdb.o.PRU (49%) com.objectdb.o.SEV (29%) and com.objectdb.oVAL [] (9%). When debugging, we did not get the reason for the high memory consumption yet. Can you give us any any hints, which leads to the generation of these objects? We assume that we (erroneously) refer to too many entities in the memory. ... to analyse/fix our problem.   We use version 2.6.9_08 in embedded mode. ...
