Replication failed

Dear support members, I am trying to set up a replication url in objectdb.conf and have the the following error in the log files: [ObjectDB 2.3.4] javax.persistence.PersistenceException Failed to connect to server 127.0.0.1:6136 (Connection refused) (error 522) at com.objectdb.jpa.EMF.createEntityManager(EMF.java:176) My objectdb.conf: ... "." mode = "write" /> <locking version-check = "true" /> <processing cache = "128mb" ... the slave. You should also try a newer ObjectDB version (build 2.4.1_01). Other ideas: verify that both servers on 6136 ...

JDO sequences from ORM file

I want to use sequences in JDO without using annotations. Normally this is done with a package-X.orm file, where X is a value passed to the PersistenceManagerFactory as the value of property "mapping". I'm encouraged to see that the JDO zip that comes with ObjectDB includes the DTD/XSD for this type of file, though I can't see a mention of it in the manual. ... rather than getSequence() . <?xml version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8" ?>     <jdo ...

Wrong data stored in date only fileds

Hi, the following query returns records with startDate of 24/10/2015 before records with startDate of 25/10/2015: SELECT r from RecordingMetaData AS r ORDER BY r.startDate DESC, r.startTime DESC, r.channelNumber DESC If we place the same data in an SQL database and run the following query we get the records in the expected order, i.e. records with startDate of 25/10/2015 before records with startDate 24/10/2015: ... How the sort order (in queries) works for non english letters?

Replicated cluster recovery

If I create a replicated database cluster as per http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/tool/replication what is the behaviour of the master database after a failure? For example, say I have MasterDB and SlaveDB in the cluster. If MasterDB goes offline the application will automatically switch to SlaveDB. When MasterDB comes back online it will have missed any activity that occured during the downtime. ... (and maybe such a solution will be included in a future version of ObjectDB) - but they are much slower than a simple master-slave ...

Object DB In memory : without Filestore

Hello, I raised this question earlier as well, we want to explore if I can run the ObjectDB completely in Memory ? (without any writes to Disk, it's okay to loose the data if the node is down ). I think that will give the best performance. The reason we are exploring is restoring state is possible for us through replaying the logs, however we want easier data structures which is really good with ObjectDB along with Concurrency controls and transaction mgmt. Let us know if it is possible to run the Object DB completely in memory without disk storage. ... Support of Memory Mode was added to ObjectDB in version 2.6.4.   ObjectDB Support ...
