Request clarification of changes to accessor enhancement policy (non-getter prefix instead of getter suffix) AND annotations

In response to the forum posting http://www.objectdb.com/database/forum/994 changes were made to the way enhancement treats getters and setters (property accessors), namely there are no longer enhanced additional getters/setters, because the additional methods now use (since about version 2-6-5) this pattern: __odbHidden_[accessor_name] Instead of this pattern with a suffix (preserving the method as a setter or getter), prior to version 2-6-5: ... Post-compilation enhancement vs Automatic Run-time enhancement

We are getting massively different results on field loading between explicit post-compile enhancement and automatic run-time enhancement. Testing exactly where and when the results are different for our demo web app is a very time consuming task, and very difficult, it means testing literally 100s of user interfaces (noting we get different results OUTSIDE THE JAVA SERVER FACES BACKING BEAN LAYER depending on the enhancement stragegy). Is an objectdb.conf required when providing test case projects here?

I am not sure whether it is mentioned anywhere (it does not seem to be given as an option under http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/setting) but it seems that ObjectDB projects run without an objectdb.conf (as long as <activation> is not required for > 10 entity classes). Q: In the case where omitting the objectdb.conf does not impact on a problem being reported and diagnosed, is it acceptable to completely omit the objectdb.conf when providing (links to) mini test projects here on this forum and the issue queues ? ... Post-compile enhancement sometimes causes error in generic loops: incompatible types found: java.lang.Object: required: Entity

I have moved from automatic run-time enhancement to explicit post-compile enhancement in an Ant build.xml in a NetBeans web app, and sometimes on editing a file that performs a generic loops over and @entity type I get a generics error. The loop is:  for (Steel s: this.steelMaterials.getL_Steel().getEls()) { eSteelTableItems.add(asXmlElement(s)); } Where getEls() here gives: List<Steel> This sometimes (only, I don't understand the circumstances) gives this error: ... to explicit post-compile enhancement in an Ant build.xml in a NetBeans web app, and sometimes on editing a file that performs a ... Embedded in JDO metadata not working in objectDB 2.x ?

Hi, I am using JDO access to the database with the persistence defined in package.jdo XML metadata files.
