How to resolve 404 errors with Eclipse/Maven Spring MVC

abandon eclipse and use the maven command line to deploy this Spring MVC web app to jetty and point ... . (4) stop jetty (5) click on the servers tab. Right click on Tomcat 6 server->add remove ... and directly from the maven command line. Jetty should work from both places
