ObjectDB License
Free License
ObjectDB can be downloaded and used at no cost (including commercially) with the restriction of a maximum of 10 entity classes and one million entity objects per database file. This could be useful for small projects, academic assignments, evaluation and learning. ObjectDB is a commercial software and using it without these restrictions requires purchasing a license.
You are encouraged to test ObjectDB before purchasing a license.
Server License
ObjectDB 2.x Server License costs £500 and includes all version 2.x updates.
A server license covers one installation of ObjectDB on a single computer. A license is required for every machine on which ObjectDB databases are managed, but using ObjectDB on client machines merely to access remote ObjectDB databases (for which licenses have been purchased) does not require additional separate licenses.
Site License
ObjectDB 2.x Site License costs £2,500 and includes all version 2.x updates.
A site license covers installation of ObjectDB on all computers of one company or organization in one building, and in addition also covers installation of ObjectDB on:
- Home computers and laptops of employees in that workplace.
- Servers that are leased or rented from third party web hosting and/or cloud hosting companies (including shared web hosting and VPS), if the hosted applications that use ObjectDB are developed and managed only by employees in that workplace.
OEM License
ObjectDB 2.x OEM license enables distribution of ObjectDB runtime bundled in a product to an unlimited number of end users.

Educational License
Teachers and researchers in higher education institutions may be entitled to a free educational license, for using ObjectDB in academic courses or in research projects. You may apply using a support ticket. Please provide information about the academic course or the research project in which you want to use ObjectDB.
