We dropped previous plans to support Jakarta Persistence in ObjectDB 2.x as it requires Java 11 and many ObjectDB users still use Java 8.

Jakarta Persistence will be the API of ObjectDB 3.0. This is currently a work in progress. ObjectDB 3.0 will require Java 17 or above and expected to be released in 2024.
